From Gas Consultants' beginnings we were focused on gas
appliance product testing. Our original focus was on
pretesting gas appliances to the ANSI Z21 and Z83
standards for gas appliances. When manufacturers would
encounter issues of not complying with a test specification,
we offered engineering design services to work with the
manufacturer and the testing agency to correct the
problem(s). Today, in the area of gas burning equipment,
we are a third party test facility for UL (D.A.P. program) and
in the new RTL Program (Recognized Testing Laboratory)
of Intertek (ITS/ETL) along with our ongoing relationship with
CSA as a certified lab. To facilitate these relationships,
GCI operates in compliance with ISO 17025 and is audited
once a year by each above agencies (3 audits a year) to
ensure the quality of our testing operations.
